ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN PIKE COUNTY
There are 2 economic development agencies in Pike County, the Industrial Development Corporation and Industrial and Commercial Development Authority. Both are non-profit
organizations dedicated to providing a stable employment base in Pike
County while preserving the County's culture and natural beauty. More
specifically their major objective is to assist in the retention and expansion of
existing firms and the attraction of new business to Pike County through
the following:

To provide such financial assistance, and training,
as may be available to prospective firms interested in expanding
or locating in Pike County. |
| B. |
To provide confidential business consulting services,
through the University of Scranton's Small Business Development
Center, to all individuals interested in starting, expanding, or
improving an existing small business. |
| C. |
To provide research data, concerning Pike County's
employment, population, financial aid, housing, tax rates, real
estate, zoning, transportation and other facilities. |
| D. |
To work with the County, State, and Federal agencies
to provide such other assistance that may be available and required
by interested firms. |
